Open house/book fair has to be one of the worst hours of my year. Emily had no interest in showing us what it is she does each day. She only wanted to talk to everyone she knew (as if she doesn't see them EVERYDAY!!!) And don't get me started on book fair. We went thru the line last year but this year I explained to Emily that we are ordering books each month thru Scholastic instead. I agree that one hour is not long enough to see the teacher and go thru all the books. It sounds like you did a good job making it to both of these.
